At 28:19 the farm house and trout farm was the house my wife grew up in her family owned the house and the trout farm for many years. Wasn’t expecting to see that on a random video I just happened upon.

All those road closures and detours sure were a challenge. Like going in circles. Driving a bunch of miles and still in the same place.

You have a lot of patience to deal with all the road blocks and turn arounds. Good job on the video, I enjoyed it.

Love the burnt orange wrap. Such a great color, like the wrangler was.

I've been wanting to set out on (at least part of) the TAT for a long time. I'm glad to see you and Deb out doing it! I've got a route that I've been working on for several months that I can email you if you want to take a look at it.

Wow, lots of trail closures. But it makes sense as bad as the storm was there. We really enjoyed the video.

Some beautiful country and good folks in that area. I went through there on the Blue Ridge Parkway in 2023 and loved it. So sad to see the damage. I want to go back and camp this time as well as spend a few bucks in the local economies.

The TAT goes through Mississippi and Arkansas, some of my old stomping grounds, and depending on the time of year/weather, it can be quite muddy. Lots of old country stores, history, and blues along much of that stretch (south of Memphis in Mississippi/Arkansas). Some of the best BBQ in the world, too.

Hey. We just found you guys. We had no idea about the Trans American trail. Now we know. The wife and I are planning on doing trips like you guys. We have our Gladiator setup very similar to yours. 3.5 overland plus lift on 37 inch tires. We don't have the awesome wrap like yours though! Subscribed and looking forward to seeing more of your adventures!

Thank goodness for Gaia! I know when we went, even in decent Fall conditions, there were a lot of road closures. I can only imagine it's even more hit or miss now. Such beautiful country. Backtracking just means you get to see it twice 😁 (or more lol)

Great work y'all. Be safe!

Great video, the destruction in WNC is unreal. The main reason we haven't been out there yet.

I always try to find camp during daylight. I like to see what I'm into. Haha.
Are you going into Florida?

All those turnarounds must have been frustrating! Love the fog, tho, and your point about being able to see farther into the forest when the leaves are off the trees is one of the reasons fall & winter adventures are my favorite. Hope to be able to join you on an adventure in 2025!
