Just got through Eastchester today and got my Class B . Heading to my depot tomorrow. The whole process from day 7-10 to Eastchester and the Road test…if your not strong minded and willed this ain’t for you, on top of that afterwards the line training.

my brother has a class A ! They called him after waiting 4 years, When he was in class for the MTA bus driver, They pulled him out and said he needed to downgrade from the Class A to a Class B permit, In order to continue ! Is this True ?

Video shown at zerega was for suburban driving, NEVER in a city setting

Retired 2018 after 32
Good job as long as you become part of the bus and not get interpersonal. Management thinks they know all, dispatchers after driving 2 years think they're better operators than the operators.
It was a better job before cameras were all over the place though...glad I'm out.

Back in the day I had a choice to go to the MTA or Academy Bus in Hoboken. I chose Academy. I am glad I did, being a professional motor coach operator was very rewarding and fun. Driving the animals in New York City is dangerous and stressful. Taking people on trips who respect you is as good as it gets. I retired after 26 years.

Driving a bus alone is much more easier than driving in zerega, too much pressure

Bs driver training sure has come a long way. Simulation classrooms! Makes me want to go out for a job as a driver.

Nice bus operator videos and I think Drivers from both West Farms and Castle hill depots are the safest drivers the MTA bus division since they operate by the book and on time unlike Queens bus drivers which sometimes speed up if they are late to a bus stop
