In this Episode we have my Epiphone 1959 Les Paul Standard Inspired by Gibson Custom in Factory Burst.

Thank you for this informative video! I bought the exact model/color last week, here in Holland/The Netherlands, for the same reasoning as you are making.
It’s a wonderful guitar, however I was somewhat disappointed about the sharp fret ends and some fret buzz around the 14th fret, which I will have to fix. In Europe this guitar is relatively more expensive than in the US. For a €1359 Epiphone the quality control should be 100%!!
But nevertheless very happy with it, the weight is 3, 7 kg ( Gibson standard LP’s are around 4, 5 kg which is too heavy for me) and I like the neck profile and the Custom Buckers very much!
Gibson makes better Guitars, but this Epiphone 1959 is a keeper for me!

This late batch of 59 inspired lps have a better horn shape that the previous batch it seems

Pickups should matter since they make or break the sound of a guitar . Its not the wood or magic mojo .
There is a world of difference between Custombuckers and the 490/498 mudbuckers that come in a an LP Studio .

Do you know how much it weighs exactly ? I have the tobacco burst and my roommate have a « real » gibson traditional 2016. I cant tell which one is heavier

Serious question, would you recommend if I were to get actual medium jumbo frets on this guitar or jumbo frets!?
Would that make the playing experience better and more like the Gibson counterpart? Given that the frets are sanded, smooth and the edges rounded ?
