Part 3!

Before moving onto multiple users, I am going to "slow down" and hit home the basic flow of files. This is something subtle but very important if you are to become powa-ful git masta.

Some of the commands you've seen before, some you haven't.

git add
git commit
git reset HEAD with the filename
git rm

We will also be creating a file called .gitignore to ignore some pesky files we don't want others to see or that may not be needed for the overall project.

Enjoy!

Hi Robert! I use iTerm2, it's pretty nifty. Out of the box it's going to be a window but you can set a hotkey for it sliding around.

@prajsd Thanks, I think most of my videos have bigger text but you're right, I think I may have forgotten to increase my text size for the video! Sorry about that, hopefully the 720P helps a little. Take care :)

@Zorobay You are correct sir! mate stands for TextMate, a text editor. Feel free to use any editor you like, in your case it sounds like eclipse :)

Thank you for doing this. I have one problem which seems odd to any one I ask. I can push files and stuff to my github, but if i want to push a whole folder to github, then I only get an empty folder in my repo. Who do this keep happening? I don't have any ignore files and I've also made sure to add and commit. Thanks a lot

All this means is that you don't have textmate which is fine. Whenever you see me type in "mate" and a file name just create or edit that file in your preferred text editor :)

How did you get the color of your username to differ from the color of your source code?

How do you get your terminal to snap/unhide from the right? Mine always opens in a window.
