Serapeum: 100 Ton Precision Crafted Boxes

Located in the area known as Saqqara, the Serapeum is one of the most enigmatic ancient sites in all of Egypt. this labyrinth was discovered in 1850 which hides 25 granite black boxes crafted with laser like precision. Each box weighs approximately 70 tons along with a lid of 30 tons cut from the same piece of stone. Each box was found empty and thus their purpose remains a mystery. It is estimated that these 100 ton stone boxes would need at least 2000 men to transport them. However, with the tunnels being only 2 feet wider than the boxes themselves, how would there have been enough space inside for such a vast army to lower and transport these boxes? The stone was quarried in Aswan about 500 miles away. The official statement from Egyptologists is that these boxes were made during the late dynastic period as burial places for sacred bulls, but how would they have been able to precision craft these granite boxes (ranking 7-8 on Mohs scale of hardness) with their softer copper & iron chisels & hammers (ranking 3-4 on Mohs scale of hardness)? The hieroglyphic carvings found on the outside of 3 of the boxes seem to have been added at a later date as they do not match the precision of the boxes themselves, but appear more crude, & almost to have been scratched into the surface.

As I read in a comment of a very smart guy on a channel I follow, these huge lids has been carved in a way that it was easy to open them when needed. In fact, despite the enormous weight, they can slide over the box, which make them openable and closable for their purpose. Following, he says that if those where real sarcofagi in the sense we’re used to, they would have had lips underneath that fitted together with the box below, cause they would have meant to remain closed.

Hopefully the Ministry of antiquities will display these boxes with the lids tilted up so the world can see the uncanny precision of the insides and not just the relatively rough outsides.

They were and they are empty. Egyptians hieroglyphics reliefs are thousands of years more modern. The huge granitic boxes are made with amazing precision. For what, why and how, remain unknown.
