The kind of ear-knowledge which gets me is when someone is improvising and others in the band can ‘hear’ the b6 or this altered chord - etc.
It’s that ability to combine ear training and music theory together.
I suppose the next step is transcribing a solo - something that I used to do at school (for me it was transcribing 4-part harmony, often J S Bach Chorales) where all we were give were the 4 starting notes. I haven’t done that kind of thing in ages....

Just a note: I studies with Charlie Banacos from 1989 to 2004. You have the exercise correct (1 4 5 1 play a note or notes) but if you use the "coach" in the app you are not doing the exercise - how to HEAR the notes - as he taught it to me. (And many others.)

Hi! You should really consider to add minor cadence to Politonus 1. I now can hear up to three simultaneous notes, but I would rather start training with minor scales than keep with the major scale.

Really like the app but it's difficult to see how this kind of work can actually translate to improvisation and fluid interconnection with your mind and instrument. Definitely useful for harmonic analysis and transcribing but it doesn't seem targeted enough to actually improve improvisation. I still think it's designed very well though and I would have loved to have had this in my time at music school.

Hello. I bought all 3 politonus apps and I regret don't have manual to understand how to use it particularly for the volume 2. I tried to use it for triads but when I give an answer nothing happens and I can't understand how to resolve this problem. Could you help me please? Thank you
