Crosscode devs used the same trick as Cave Story, but backwards. They used Shizuka's theme as the trailer music which you hear first even before getting the game, and then near the end of the game. Cave Story does something similar, it uses the main menu theme which you hear when you boot the game, in one of the last areas. It is so nostalgic.

The intro is godlike. Such a perfect transition for an incoming battle.

i was so pumped during that fight and then when this part hit at 1:15 i was like 'OH MY GOD IT'S THE THING FROM THE THING" while trying to pay attention at the fight since it's the part that plays from some sad themes and the lea theme when she logs in

Lea is based on Shizuka. Hearing the common part of their themes was truly one of the best moments in any game for me.

Well... Two of my favourite confrontations in computer games are this (Lea VS Shizuka) and one from Celeste (Madeline vs Badeline). Despite games being totally diffrent, they both put player's characters into confronting themselfs... And spiced it with totally beautifull music.

Theme of remembering how Apollo mentioned that PvP gets a lot more interesting once you get your level 3 skills and subsequently realizing that you did not level up enough for this fight.

Probably my favorite boss(?) fight in game, I always like battle where both sides have the same conditions or skill sets.
