Jaishankar's Savage Response After Maldives' Muizzu's 'India Bully' Attack; 'Bullies Do Not Help...'

India's external affairs minister, Jaishankar, took a jab at pro-Chinese Maldivian President Mohammad Muizzu while addressing an event at the Ananta Aspen Center. Responding to a question on India being seen as a bully in the region, Jaishankar said, "Big bullies don't provide $4.5 billion when neighbours are in trouble; big bullies don't supply vaccines to other countries when COVID is on." On January 13, Muizzu said that "Maldives is a small country, but that is not a license for anybody to bully us" amid a diplomatic row with India. Watch

Do not, I repeat, do not help unless help is asked for that too in writing. India has been trying to act smart with all these small neighbors and proactively invest, help and provide support when it wasnt asked for. Maldives, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and Nepal are those four countries which still percieve India as a "Bully". Make strong foreign policies where "Help" is provided with "Acceptance and Humility" not as "Doles for just being a neighbor". Its time, India punches above its weight and stop, completely stop this attitude. There is no free lunch. There is absolutely no gratitude for these small countries. Be like China, Hammer and Extract. That is the language these countries understand.
