I feel like an old Harry Potter set is more than $75.

I find that Bricks and Minifigs tends to overcharge. Not sure why someone would pay $70 for that minifigure when it’s on bricklink for $40. And I get that as a store they need to undervalue their trade so that they can make a profit, but the cheapest sealed copy of that set on bricklink is $285, $300 for an undamaged box.

Not to salt your apples, but you got robbed

That was probably the worst purchase ever

the trade consisted on what you wanted not what it was worth

75 is crazy for that figure. I was able to get him for only 40 a few years ago. But the value might’ve shot up or something recently.

Depending on if the sets open or not or if it’s missing mini figs it could be a good trade

That Mr.Freeze figure sure is nostalgic for me!

That Lego set is worth more than three of those figures

That Basilisk itself is probably worth as much as that figure because of its teeth. I wouldn't trade for that ever, but whatever makes you happy is most important I guess.. Altough that set is super dope and has a lot of cool features...

look up your set on brick economy. even if you assume it's worth half of it's estimated price it's worth almost 70 so you definitely got jipped

For me it is a worthy trade, as much as I love star wars, Lego batman the video game is more nostalgic for me than complete Saga, I absolutely love the minifigs from that original batman theme but unfortunately I don't have that Mr freeze

Bricks and minifigs will so undervalue anything you bring in

I feel like you could have gotten a bit more for that set

I didn't think a Harry Potter lego set could be vintage but decided to check.
Turns out that certain products are considered vintage when are at least 20 years old. The Harry Potter lego set (4730) came out in September 2002 and was discontinued in december 2003. This means that at the moment the video was released it was between 19 years 6 months and 20 years 9 months old and therefore could be vintage.

not sure if its a good trade or not (unaware of the value of both) but I gotta say: Id do anything for those Classic LEGO Batman figures like this

Lego is an interesting item to collect because it holds much more nostalgia the most other things do. I think maybe figurines from movies and toys from the late 70s and 80s are probably only thing that hold more nostalgia. So sometimes the trades look lopsided to those that don’t love Lego like us.
