The Idahoan shares his paraphrase of the 82nd Psalm.

Lyrics:

Gather mighty kings and heroes bold,
All the demigods whose pow’r by men in song is told:
God passes judgement on them all,
And before His throne they prostrate fall!

Ye who pervert God’s justice, and wicked men receive,
How dare ye behave thus? (For God ye cannot deceive.)
Think ye He doth not care? How long will He forbear?
Repent ere His judgement falls: Do justice to one and all!

Defend the poor and defenseless,
Deliver the needy and fatherless,
Defeat all the wicked who them oppress!

For the wicked cannot be reasoned with:
Darkness clouds their mind.
Their concept of the very earth,
Is badly skewed and misaligned,
So they cannot understand the truth,
And charge ahead, though walking blind!

They rush to their destruction,
‘Til like all men an end they find,
For at the Lord God’s injunction,
Angels, gods, and mortals alike shall be
Subject to death at His decree!

Arise, oh Lord, so may it be,
Reign Thou in ev’ry nation throughout all eternity!
