There are scientific solutions to desalinization on a large scale. We have tons of water around us for the taking. With firefighters not having enough water to fight the wildfires that hit Lahaina and the Federal government poisoning our drinking water at Red Hill, the local government should have begun a desalination plant here ages ago before rail, before a promenade in Waikiki, before a new stadium, before, before, before. Local politicians who care need to step it up. Those who have desalinization for their private use are ahead of the game. If our artesian wells go polluted, we don’t have water. This is an island where water is only fed by artesian wells. Get it?

The military needs to leave Hawaii. How much damage can one group do to a place before we say... ENOUGH!

Me, I'm happy for the contamination. I run a small store and we make so much money from the sale of bottled water. I buy in bulk from Costco, then I add 275% to my cost and I make out every month! Not everybody get Costco card you know. I even sell bottled water whenever get sports games.
