Growing up, luaus were common events. Many relatives were professional entertainers who worked in Waikiki so entertainment was top notch. But the best, the thing that gave one “chicken skin” was when the elderly aunties would kick off their slippas, get up and dance hula. This is what this video reminded me of. Mahalo nui! 🥰

Beautiful video...I think I would have made it without the ladies singing it..because their heads are moving contrary to the dance...its beautiful that they love the song so much to sing it while dancing but the rhythm of how they are moving I think takes away from the beautiful dance..just my opinion. Beautiful Video!
