REAL WHP | TOYOTA CELICA GT-FOUR WRC ST205 | DYNO TESTED

Показать описание
The Celica GT-Four ST205 was launched for the Japanese market in February 1994, and for the Australian, European, and British markets in the mid-year. This version was to be the most powerful Celica produced to date. So, we decided to see slap her on the dyno and see if Toyota lived up to there word.

This is my dream car since I was a kid. They were known as the EVO/STI killers back in the day but weren't legal in the US. The CT20B is the fastest twin-scroll journal bearing turbo alive during it's time. The torque was insanely noticeable in full throttle. The only problem is that the turbine wheel is ceramic. And can easily snap under constant heavy loads. I ended up dropping this motor into my 1995 Celica GT (making it a fwd configuration). With a couple of bolt-ons (fmic kit, intake, exhaust dump pipe, Greddy boost controller, custom turbo modifications including wastegate bore, and billet wheel), I was running 12s on the 1/4 mile. Engine was beast and by far the most fun car I had ever owned. Unfortunately the stock 5SFE transmission eventually blew and put a hole through the engine block. Should had bought a MR2 Turbo transmission.

206 wheel seems very strong for a 240 bhp car with AWD and about 20 years on it.

Finally an actual wrc version. Most people claim they are wrc but they are missing the anti lag. There is a yellow canister at the bottom right of the intercooler. If yours doesn’t have that then it’s probably not a wrc . Just a reg gt4. Which is still awesome btw

Thanks for the upload. I just got st215 caldina gtt and it’s great. Same drivetrain as a jdm gt4 Celica but in a wagon. Would be interesting to know what numbers it makes

I believe the JDM models had 252hp/255ps, with a 20%ish drive train loss of about 50hp it sounds about right.

Thanks for doing this! Any chance you guys would be willing to share a copy of the Dynojet run file so that I can compare my car? I don’t have all the stock parts to be able to get a true baseline

Best Celica ever/ugliest stock wheels of all time. Life is a balance.

That power output sounds a bit off, is this an AU or European model? Still a lovely and clean example though, can’t wait to get mine finally

The same car with a intake, downpipe, exhaust and boost controller will make 280whp.

How does it make lower torque than stock. Doesn't make any sense

So weird hearing a seleeca pronounced selica

Its not a wrc because it never was a world rally car, it was a group A.
