The magical touch of vellum on handmade cards can turn the ordinary to extraordinary! A simple layer of vellum, laid over a small area of a bold background, can provide a stunning and striking contrast.

The Incredible Like You stamp set (Occasions Catalog, page 21) includes a unique combination of mixed font greetings and images. Among them is an eclectic striped background. At first glance you might think this striped image 'belongs' with this set, but I'm hopeful to convince you otherwise!

The best part about this striped background is the ease of using it. The lines aren't intended to be straight which means there's lots of forgiveness when using it. In today's video I'll provide you insight on stamping this striped panel as well as how to adhere the vellum overlay - it's just enough to mute the center of this card so the greeting can stand out.

Blushing Bride and Basic Black are always a striking combination but couple it with these soft petals and buds and you'll have a card that can be used for any occasion. Change up the greeting for anniversary, get well cards and much more.
