New COVID-19 Variant Symptoms Include Pink Eye

Doctors are sharing their concern about a new COVID-19 variant symptom that's being mistaken for something else. Multiple people are reporting pink eye as a symptom of the new COVID-19 variant called Arcturus. One woman says her case of COVID started with a sore throat and bad congestion , followed by pink eye. Experts are now recommending people not rub their irritated eyes. Inside Edition's Ann Mercogliano has more details.

Oh my gosh… I said it & I knew it. I have extremely bad allergies this year & I keep waking up with my eyes both pink & extremely irritated. That as well as neck pain, throat pain, high congestion…I keep saying about how I never recalled my allergies being THIS serious…Oh my Word, I hope this is a false alarm.

Me and my girlfriend both had it. Red itchy eyes, bad cough, very sore throat. I had it much worse though, I had a fever which was about 39.5c and after the main symptoms went my skin started itching randomly and breaking out in hives after even the slightest rub or scratch. My throat is still a bit swolen over 2 weeks later as well.

Nothing appeared on covid tests.
