My Grandma passed away this past year, the day after Thanksgiving, which is a big holiday for us in America. She always made it so special. Days before, I remained at her bedside as much as I could. One morning, I was outside and this song came into my mind. It was on repeat. I thought it was just a way of me coping with reality that day. Later that night, as, I and two other family members were sitting at her bedside, I felt compelled to sing to her, this song. I know, to some the words sounded inappropriate, but, for some reason I kept on, softly, and caressing her loving face. It wasn't till after she was gone, that she was singing Rivers to me, through my body, my voice, urging me to Fight Against the Tide of Life.
