There is such a thing as a dead end job if you stay there for thirty years.
But on the other hand. God bless the humble.

"[Any job is] the first rung. Jobs lead to dignity, if you're good at the first, you can get the second."
This man is wise.

he is a Welfare Queen and couldn't make money in a free market. He shouldn't be listened to.

Dimon is so smart. He is so in touch with everything. A smart person would believe every single word that comes out of his mouth.

You can literally work at a fast food joint and eventually crawl yourself out of poverty. It may take a while longer, but it’s possible. So long as you know money management, saving and investing wisely. No amount of money or a high paying job can save you from becoming poor, if you’re just bad with money to begin with.

Ironic that there are quite a few dead end jobs at JPMC - and they're designed to be dead end jobs.
For example - the agile job family only has 3 job levels - it just stops - and it's impossible to become an executive director if you are in that job family.

nonsense, dead end jobs mean that:

- there is no promotion possible (like teaching, bus drivers, transport, waiters)
- even if there is promotion possible you wont get it, because you wont fit (physically, mentally) making it a personal dead end job
- recruiters and agencies set the rules, making you totally dependent. If you cant bargain youre a slave: so dead end in terms of time tables, salary etc.
- due to meritocracy and taxes schools, parents and neighborhoods differ, chances as well. They are just not the same geographically nor socially.
- BS jobs DO exist (in large numbers) protecting organisations, people and contracts. It is a form of corruption actually, not even dead end but worse.

It is just not true that sky is the limit and growth is there for all of us if we just want to. Total nonsense.

Great video. But Mr. Dimon need to clean his house first, JP Morgan Chase is doing a lot of black ops behind his back and soon will blow in his face, this summer.

He's right that the "elite" have been a part of every society since Rome, even the Barbarians had them. Though most of them never possessed the same modesty, intelligence, and perspective as Jamie Dimon.
