A Balanced Scorecard shows a series of cause-and-effect relationships that show how a company's focus on learning and growth can improve its internal processes, which can in turn improve the customer experience, and can ultimately result in stronger financial performance. Strategy maps make these cause-and-effect relationships clearer by illustrating which activities will lead to which outcomes.
