I don't know if I think Fortnite is objectively bad game. It just feels like a hollow corporate shell of what it used to be. It's lost all of its character and authenticity. Part of that is just a game growing in popularity, but part of it is 100% on the developers and creative director

Epic management is actually terrible. Imagine being an employee and learning that 900 coworkers have been sacked because the company with billions can't pay them, right before their biggest game gets three new game modes and updates every 2 or so weeks. Disgusting.

Ok, your point about the C5S3 event was kinda unfair. You shouldn’t call something pointless because leakers put it out. That’s the leakers’ faults. We need to stop normalizing them, they ruin surprises and disguise it as helping us know stuff. It’s an issue with the gaming industry as a whole.

Exactly what i was thinking... Epic games is now just a corporate company where any cool/big changes are never even thought of. And even worse it really feels like the devs dont even play the game at all and have no clue what players like and what they hate.

Epic Games ruined fortnite. It hasn't been fun since Chapter 3. There is no storyline, boring battlepasses, overwhelming amounts of cheaters and hackers that epic doesnt even try to stop anymore, trash mythics.. i mean its like epic is recycling old items and making them worse.

I couldn't have said it better myself, I played a small bit of C1 but mainly started at the very beginning of C2, and even back in C2 the game felt so full of life, epic actually cared about their game and their players and it had personality, but they've borderline taken live events from us, given us this over simplified shitty buggy ass UI no one likes nor asked for, as well as removed rarities for cosmetics, a staple of the entire game, and now worries a lot less about the fun stuff and tries to cater more to the competitive demographic which will always ruin any game, like how they've began to do ever since mid C3, but my biggest issue is that they just don't care about the storyline anymore, the biggest thing that I cared about and that immersed me in the game was the story and how engaging it was with small map changes every week and something new always around the corner, but it's like now the only story we get is through shitty quest no one cares about and you usually can't even read the stuff without being shot at, or we get it through the horrible creative live events once in a blue moon, which is ridiculous by so many means

YES! Ever since epic removed trading in rocket league about 9 months ago and donald mustard stepped down, epic has been just putting in almost no effort. This topic has not been brought to light enough and not many peope actually know what is going on because they are blinded by all the positive information about the new seasons mainly due to the younger players believing everything the big streamers and content creators are saying. Epic games used to actually care when mustard was still there but after he left things have gone to shit.

To be fair with Jonesy and Peely, it IS a Fortnite battle pass, not a Marvel Battle Pass. I think it’s better that they use their original characters instead of just brainless collabs. Plus there are already item shop Captain America and Wolverine skins.

I've been playing since chapter 1 season 0, the beginning. I've watched how this game progressed, grew, and fell. The Devs are just making Fortnite a money bag at this point. They have lost all productivity since Donald Mustard left, it breaks my heart since i grew up with this game. I am 20 years old, i cant always play this game due to my jobs, but the game I knew is long gone. There's no fun, no storyline, just op weapons you NEED to be able to even win and a half-assed "story" thats only there for xp to progress their monotonous battlepass. Even those are becoming useless since they are all coming back to the item shop. its just disappointing at this point...
