Three reforgers (re deployment forces Europe) in Germany; mechanized infantry. We loaded tanks and apcs on the rails to training areas also. During reforger everything was busy and advice was to sleep between trees. Some soldiers died in their sleeping bags run over by a tank if they slept in the open. My company we could not be in one place longer than 2 hours for the weeks of the war games. Sleep deprived. Panzer Kaserne was my base. Stuttgart area was Rommel's tank training area in WWll.
