Intro to 3d Printing with Joseph Chiu at LA Makerspace

In this workshop spotlight, Joseph Chiu of ToyBuilder Labs introduces us to the fundamentals of 3d printing and highlights what implications this new method of additive manufacturing has for education and industry alike. Artists and engineers from the Los Angeles community that attended the workshop also weigh in, sharing what they learned about 3d printing, how this workshop inspires them to pursue new projects and skills, and how integrating a makerspace into a public library would have a monumental positive impact on the community at large.

Learning how to go about 3d printing is just one of the many ways LA Makerspace supports the development of skills in art and engineering. No prior experience is necessary to participate in these workshops unless stated otherwise in individual event posts.
