Hi Chantal, thanks for the comparison. Surecart definitely has its place in the market. Competition is good for all leaders in the WP arena. I do however custom all my stuff, so it becomes straight forward. But you're 100% correct about newbies wanting to dabble in CMS customization. I'm an elementor pro user and use ACF among many others to achieve some interesting results. Anyhow, lovely to see a fellow South African creating content on this topic.

Thank you, I enjoyed the comparison between SureCart and WooCommerce. Regarding "headless", I think there may be a point of confusion there, as with WordPress that's generally going to mean building out your own front end (React or whatever) and pulling data through WP-API. I've never really heard that as meaning an app run offsite.

Thanks, great video. I'm redesigning an ecommerce store selling physical products and was hoping SureCart would be a good WC replacement. Jumped straight in to SC and had a lot of "hey why can't I do that?" roadblocks and that's where I realised SC is more for intangible product sales. I guess traditional eCommerce functionality will have to wait for another year or two.

Great video. Curious, are setting up payment options simpler than Woo (which more recently is much more involved, it use to be simple PayPal email add)? Luv the free recurring payment charge options!

Thanks, Chantal. Payment gateway. You did not touch that. In the US and Europe, I know that that is not an issue with Stripe, etc. But I am in South Africa. We are told Paystack is just about ready. While that is cool, and Paystack looks good on paper, what do you know about it? I am scared of customer pushback, as it is kind of unknown. It is undoubtedly the first time I have heard about it, although it apparently launched 2 years ago in my country. (You are probably aware that Stripe does not operate in South Africa/Africa.)

I think you can do a product show casing by using Elementor and SureCart. However, it is a bit more work to setup and one or two other plugins may be needed to eliminate some of that work...meaning the WooCommerce platform is not necessarily needed for small stores...say, 20 physical products or less....and my guess is, surecart pro may have true WooCommerce features....making it a much better solution than Woo...let's wait and see what happens in the pro version...but to me, it only makes sense.
