As someone who borrowed a friend’s psvr 1 for a few days try out iron vr demo and Star Wars squadrons VR, I’m freaking excited for this to show up the doorstep day 1. I was blown away by the old crappy tech so is going to be great. Also cheaper than a trip to Disney.

If they had backwards compatability with original PSVR games and let us play on PC the asking price would have been justified. But the lack of these 2 important features makes it difficult to recommend going out to buy it at launch.

I already have a quest 2 which I’m passing down to my kids.. I’m getting the pave 2 becuase of the plug and play.. tired of tweaking things on a pc just to make quest 2 work with it and I’m not trying to spend more money to upgrade my pc which would cost more than just buying the vr 2

I’ve played an hour of call of the mountain and it’s incredible. I’ve had a pc and quest 2 and I honestly think it looks better/runs better than HLA.

They didn't play GT7 or RE8 for this review. I haven't started RE8 yet, but GT7 is one of those Mario 64 moments in gaming. Try that and then see if you want the headset (I'm happy I got mine, with the caveat of not knowing yet how well supported it's going to be over the years)

PSVR 2 is awesome. I recommend it, it's immersive and the games are great. It's the best VR for that value.

Resident evil 8 and gt7 not able to be played yet

For me personally both of those titles alone sell the headset than horizon call of the mountain

It's a mid tier vr in price and it's well made and does not put a lithium battery on your head unlike the quest 2 and other wireless vr sets

I don't really understand giving a rating to hardware based on...1 launch game? Shouldn't a review of hardware focus on the actual hardware itself? Horizon can be a 7/10 game but that doesn't mean the headset also has to be 7/10 because that's the one game you played...

I love how they’re all saying the games weren’t hitting like they expected they would.. it’s launch games.. just so you can play it.. it’s all marketing. How many games are great at the launch of a new console… not very many in my opinion. I’m still getting it regardless mainly for GT7
