No Mans Sky Building A Low Orbital Base THE ESSENTIAL Beginner Guide 2023!!

Building a low orbital base in No Man's Sky can seem rather daunting when you're just starting out in the game with everything you can possibly create with the many blueprints you can get from the anomaly. The aim of this video is to show you the technique you need to use to build an orbital base.

I wonder if it's possible to call your freighter in right next to the base, assuming the base is that high and/or freighter is that low. Would be cool to have a frieghter "dock"

It works! Just did it last night. And base did not disappear. Make sure you toggle the free placement for it to work and wait three seconds to build for a big enough size base.

Very key component as you mentioned in these steps is toggling on free placement. I also pondered why you were using exocraft stations for your leaping steps; probably because they are the biggest/widest thing you can leap towards, providing a better shot at making them?

you saved me an hour of building and deleting stairs .thnx :D
build on moons, the base feels its higher up and the planet gives a good view too. personally prefer toxic moons for the rain
build on extreme moons so you get free milestone points while being in your base
build on non-dead planets so oxygen and atmosphere harvesters work in your base too (needs mod to put them above ground). and i personally like seeing clouds beneath my base

As of now this method is very annoying with the amount of disappeared base computers I now have to try and glitch back in.

I want to build this on a stormy planet so it'll look more interesting, but I also want low gravity...

I guess I'll just have to build two of them.

Maybe I'm missing something in the game, but going back to the last restore point seems impossible, as building the base computer, or exiting my ship once I get to the landing pass, seems to overwrite the restore point. (Because manual saves.... aren't?). This is costing me resources and any help would be great.

I did this successfully and started building. I logged off for the night and came back today and found the base and everything still there, but I can no longer build anything. Have you come across this ?

There’s me, jumping from platform to platform trying to get past the build height limit and a star ship comes along and flies straight into the platform I was on, knocking me to the ground 🙃

Where do you get al these blueprints? At the anomaly i only have a few blueprints that i can buy (Im quite new to the game )

I didn't watch till the end (stupid me!) and my landing pad and stuff disappeared, including the base computer! To fix this, when you spawn in go into photo mode to locate your ship and boost to it if you need to so you don't fall. Next find your base computer icon and build a floor (in free placement mode) below it. Next wire glitch in a new base computer. To do this just toggle wire and base computer while trying to place the base computer down. Move the new base computer under your base computer icon (this may take a few tries) once you see your base name you can access it and delete it. Make sure you don't build the floor to high or too low. Place it where you think the old one should have been below the icon.

I don’t get what I did wrong but once I spent like an hour on my base I turned it off and went back on today the entire base is just gone😢
