I don't believe it, but it would be super cool if the 3D Mario and Mario Kart would be the same game.

So you can play a whole great story in a giant open world, drive your Mario Karts everywhere, the tracks are somewhere in the world and you can start everything we know from Mario Kart "Grad Prix, Versus, ...) from the menu as well as in the open world.

I have a few ideas for a 3d Mario game, but it’s more like a hybrid of different types of Mario games, like rpgs, rabbids, platformers, Mario kart, etc, so what I was thinking is that Nintendo would make a traditional yet new 3d Mario as well as this hybrid.

New inventory system: mario’s standard pocket has allowed him to carry 1 additional item but with his new travel book back he has 5 more slots making a total of 6! Though it lowers speed and jump height a bit (yes there are now stats).

Items he can hold include power-ups but also things like shells, springs, cannons, turnips, any quirky items you can think of. Even his hammer from the rpg games!

Backpack is customizable and unequipable.

A wide range of characters along the lines of DK, Wah brothers, daisy and… GENO?!?!? (Who is powered by a living star sent from Rosalina) as well as character classes.

NPCs as well such as E. Gadd, Poplins, Pauline, as well as Rosalina (she’d be OP as a playable character i feel).

MULTIPLAYER VERSES LIKE FROM 64 DS AND NSMB?!?!
