That was mad....Freddie calmly puts on his helmet and gloves, mounts his bike and takes off on COLD TYRES...pops big wheelies and wins too. Serious respect to Freddie on his Honda.Nuff said.

Very interesting. Very.
1. These old views of Laguna Secs before the hoardings and the manicured trackside appeared are fascinating.
2. What a strange and somehow slightly artless choice of competition. A 700 Sabre and a Sylvia.
3. This is really of its time.... The Reagan years of the 700cc Japanese bikes.... Looking back, this sort of protectionism seems absurd.
4. Freddie was devilishly fast... He often gained a massive lead on the opening laps, when other riders were still warming their tyres.... Quite the master on cold rubber.
Anyway.... What a lovely little video.

If a car does a 1:30 and Freddie can do 1:15 .or less. of course the car would get a 15 second head start.
The objective here is where Freddie needs to overtake for dramatic finish.
