Biggest thing I noticed was the trucks consistency. A difference of .003 seconds. Just a sample size of two, but still. Going to suck the fun right out of bracket racing with those things.

The reason the rivian has the limiter is not that it cant go faster. But that 7000 lbs on those tires at speed is not safe. The tires are the limiting factor.

This is the name of the game for electric so I'm not surprised really. It's like throwing a sprinter against a 5000M runner, electric will "gas" out. I'm a fossil fuel fan through and through but also big into electric RC and can see from that world what electric is capable of. The EV game has just begun for mass use and it is freaking impressive no matter what anyone says. It's a huge topic but even as a gas monkey gearhead I'm excited for what EV will bring in the future

One thing to keep in mind, it looks like this is at Bandimere where gas engines lose a lot of power up here. Low O2 levels obviously don't affect an electric engine, so this race probably wouldn't be as close at sea level.
