First Nations Australia & Bougainville unite through music: Get Up, Stand Up, Show Up!
A powerful collaboration between musicians from Bougainville and First Nations performers from Australia ‘Wan Solwara’ (One Ocean), is a stirring call to action for people to support and uplift their communities.
Wan Solwara resulted from an extended visit to Bougainville by Adrian Tjupurrula (Tjupurru) Fabila and his son Jake, who joined forces with local artists Michael Dave, Ruth Maison, Walter Kerevio, Jolista Masu, Robertha Yansi and Milton Garea in September 2022 to develop the song, which includes lyrics in Tok Pisin and English.
