Fun fact: this game was originally going to have Mario as the main protagonist but Nintendo felt it would be out of character for Mario to be nervously walking around a haunted house so they changed it to Luigi

I would love to see Peach &/or Daisy in a romhacked version of this. I.E. Peach rescuing Daisy or vice versa from a QUEEN BOO OR BOOSETTE! Maybe Pauline & Rosalina should also get their Spooky Mansion romhacks, Wario & Waluigi too.

This actually would be perfect if Mario was the protagonist of this game, since that would mean he would’ve met E. Gadd personally before the events of Super Mario Sunshine.

If you remember, E. Gadd’s inventions were present in Sunshine such as FLUDD and the Magic Paint Brush that Bowser Jr. stole from him. It would’ve been a nice little reference if FLUDD had Mario in its database since E. Gadd would’ve remembered him from the Mansion events. Though it is possible Luigi may have introduced Mario to E. Gadd after being warped back into reality from the painting

I can see why they changed it to Luigi's Mansion, but this was still a very fun game. And rather amusing to see Mario so scared. 😅😂

Luigi's Mansion is what separated Luigi from Mario in terms of character, becoming the more cowardly brother but is willing to step up when it comes to saving his brother and the Mushroom Kingdom when Mario is incapacitated.
