Quasar ARM Metal Detector - setting up the new coil

Показать описание
This video shows the essential setup for the new YourDetector Quasar ARM Unit or the setting of the new Search Coil for the Quasar ARM
The steps are:
1. Ensure there is some PWM value (just put 20 for the beginning). The current value is not important
2. HW Options / TX Freq - Enter this menu and perform the Auto (press UP) tuning of frequency. Press OK
3. Go to the HW Options / Coil Balance, and set the Desired Balance (so far just put the empiric +175mV and +45 Degrees)
4. Activate Compensator of the Balance by going to HW Options / Coil Balance / Balance, and by pressing Auto (UP). Save the Compensator by pressing OK.
5. Enter the HW Options / Ferrite Zero, press Auto and introduce the Ferrite Specimen to the coil. Hold it still once you will see some Value/Signal. Once you will get the Ferrite Angle, save it with OK.
6. Go to the Main Screen and swing the Ferrite Specimen above the Coil. In a noisy environment, you can hear random signals, but there should be no "stable signals" in the 1st or in the last sectors of Signograph. If there is such a signal, you should manually tune the Ferrite Angle pair of degrees to the right or left. For doing that - go to the Ferrite Zero again, and try increasing/decreasing Angle manually pair of degrees. Press OK and get back to the Main Menu for testing.
7. Check reaction to the targets. The coin or ring should produce clear SINGLE signal in 10-20cm from the coil. If there is DOUBLE signal, - just invert Ferrite Angle manually by 180Deg. (e.g. "-45" becomes "+135")
8. Enjoy your Quasar ARM from YourDetector!
If you just made the Factory Reset - you will most likely have to turn the FM Transmitter OFF in order to get the internal speaker working, otherwise, you will hear no sound.
