So nice to enjoy both a Dr. Harris *and* Dr. Zucker webinar today. I've been wanting to see this one for a while because I know that Dr. Zucker takes amazing photos, but what of the ones he can't photograph?

"We are not lawyers" is the way I like my parties to start. 🤭
I wasn't aware that it takes 96 entire years to move from copyright to public domain! That explains the content on Project Gutenberg, lol. We should be good to go for works from 1928!

I wonder how many emails Eddie got as a result of this video, lol.
The detail about wanting to protect your relationship with museums was interesting. I don't necessarily have relationships like this to consider, but there's that age-old idea of "just because you can doesn't mean you should."
The note about museums not necessarily being the rights holder was also interesting. I'm sure it gets complicated, finding out who's the rights holder and asking their permission instead.

So glad someone asked about relief sculptures! I had that question too. It really does sound so tricky (and yes, annoying lol)! I'm not jealous of those who must regularly use images with these not-quite-clearly-defined regulations. I get a taste of it when I go for sound effects to use for my demos, but there's no 2D versus 3D sound effect distinction for me to contend with, thankfully.
I'm on a roll, so I think I'm gonna watch that webinar about cleaning images up next. 🙃

If you upload to FLICKR as use the most open* Creative Commons license images can also be included on Wikipedia and help spread even more knowledge with society.

*Allow commerical use and derivative use.

This is so helpful. I love painting but can never find free references.

Pinterest has to be deadest end of looking for references; I'm amazed so many people still use it :/
