This is the problem of Kpop industry now. It's hard for me to understand why they sing in nasal tone although their real voice is good.

The problem is, they are too strained. The company’s won’t let them use their real voice and say that they should change their voice to fit the concept. Their normal voice is so beautiful, they don’t need to change one bit of it.

I remember seeing a vocal coach(?) saying that though soyeon’s voice is already nasally, she seems to be leaning on it(hear nasally tone) more to enhance her persona or character on stage. If you’re a fan of soyeon for a long time now, you would now that she started as singer/vocalist but in the end changed her interests after failing more than 20/30 auditions. She was told her way of singing(using here nasally tone) was different from most singers at that time. There are some clips were you could hear her singing using what people consider the “standard/usual” way of singing but she truly seem to prefer singing in her own way. I admire soyeon and the way she sticks to her preferences and what she likes despite other’s opinion of her. She also said before that when they were trainees the vocal coach usually taught them how to sing in just one way, making them sound the same. She didn’t want the members to lose their own voices by singing the exact same way, so she had a different coach teach them one by one on how to enhance their natural voices instead. Which i also think shows what kind of leader she is, wanting whats best for her members.

There is no such thing as a “ real voice “ no idol is faking their voice, that’s not a real thing. Singers voices change throughout the years and can sound different depending on the rang of the song

I respect ur opinion but for me Rosé has the best voice in kpop she doesn't uses autotune she uses her real natural voice she rarely lip sync and I stan Blackpink becz of her. I know YG forced her to change her deep voice and doesn't even gives her high notes and more vocal part. That's why we blinks call her the golden voice becz of her unique angelic voice we don't say that she's the best becz the best vocalist of kpop is iu.
