Valiant Hero Extended Ending | a fan-made Henry Stickmin animation

this project has been in the works for around 4 weeks total. it started when ockeroid, the talented artist who composed some of the music for THSC, released his end of the OSTs publicly, some of which were newly made extended versions of existing songs. i started scrolling through the comments, and someone put a timestamp to the extended “Valiant Hero'' track, stating that the horns that follow the shortened versions ending not only was the government theme for the games (which i hadnt noticed at first), but they said that that part sounded like it was some sort of funeral scene. after reading this, my gears started turning. fast.

this still was a really fun project to work on. i had a little bit of a break in the middle of its production, but i still think i did very well in terms of time from start to finish (less than a month).

finally, special thanks to ockeroid for helping with the game and then making extended versions of some of the songs. this was a great gift to get and you killed every track. and thank you to puffballs for creating a series of games with some of the best characters ive ever seen on screen, im excited for what you and the other members at innersloth continue to make

This is actually really sad. Seeing Henry losing a person who was like a brother to him. Henry had so many memories with Charles and just to see him actually die for Henry was one of the greatest sacrifices and one of the greatest plans ever. Charles will be and will always be missed. He was one of the most true heroes.

This literally made me cry. You can feel Henry’s immense sorrow as he breaks down into tears at Charle’s grave, and the flashbacks of all the good memories they had. It was executed too well.
Also the animation legit looks like the real thing. This is too good for this world.

I'm honored to say that I'm the person who made the comment which inspired this animation.

That being said, I'm honest to god AMAZED by the work and effort put into this. Watching this felt as if it were actually a scene in the game, and I can't even begin to describe how much emotion I felt all throughout. Not to say it wasn't impactful at all, but I think the ending would've held so much more weight if this was how it ended. All in all, it's amazing how far one person's vision can take somebody, and I'm way more than happy to have been the key inspiration behind this lovely work of art, even if I never knew until now.
