It's insane: This guy won Oscars for Editing (Gravity), Cinematography (Roma) and Directing (Gravity & Roma) and was nominated for other stuff, too. What an insanely talented guy!! The epitome of a human swiss army knife of the highest quality in the film industry!!

Mans really won 3 Oscar's in one night, and very possibly 4 had the academy not been so basic when it came to picking a best picture winner.

Alfonso is a phenomenal filmmaker, along with Alejandro and Guillermo, those three are artists in the filmmaking industry.

2018 was an amazing year for cinematography, not just including the films nominated here.

First Man, If Beale Street Could Talk, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, The Old Man & The Gun, First Reformed, Hereditary, The Other Side of the Wind, and so and and so forth.

Makes me wish there were more than five films nominated in this category.

I had the privilege to see this beautiful black and white film on a big screen in glorious 70mm. Truly one of the most beautiful photographed films from such talented man.

As much as I loved "A Star is Born", I thought "Roma" deserved this award.

Funny fact: it's unusual that three of the nominees (including the winner) for best cinematography are also nominees for best foreign language film, and by the way "the favourite" is a british movie directed by a greek director. So we can say that US, UK, Mexico, Poland and Germany are in the same category Lol

Everybody talking of Cuaron's win for best cinematography (which is great, he deserved it)
But it's funny to see that Tyler Perry doesn't give a shit announcing the category and remarking that it's gonna be presented live instead of the commercial break hahahaha
