The Secret | English Full Movie | Drama

Due to an intense struggle with pride, Mike Dunmore has spent his entire life guarding a secret he feared would bring shame if exposed. As a consequence, his relationship with his son, Patrick, has suffered greatly. The only confidants privy to this hidden truth were his late wife and his best friend, Thurgood, with whom he works. Both had agreed to keep the secret concealed for as long as possible.

However, when Mike's beloved grandson starts facing similar challenges, he realizes that he can no longer keep his secret buried. Attempting to do so would prove exceedingly difficult, especially now that he's been encouraged and has volunteered to run as a candidate for a local election.

I’m now in my eighth. When I went to school I was very unhappy because I could not learn like my classmates. I was not aware of my learning difficulties, but attempted to work harder with no better results. I was poorly created by my classmates as well as my parents; called lazy, stupid and the like. It was not until I was in my sixties, until I learned I have dyslexia. I decided to investigate the symptoms from dyslexia and learned for the first time why I have had been struggling all my life. I was relieved to find out “I was not stupid”. This movie really underlines the importance of being tested. Thank you for making this film available, as it was a very special encouragement to me.

Our kids got weekly homework packages when they were in elementary school. I loved them because they allowed us to to see how they were doing in school and allowed us to help them when they needed it. My oldest just graduated from university and my youngest is in his third year. It’s important as parents to help your children with their school work so they don’t fall through the cracks.

This movie really touched me because I myself was in special educational program for ten years in school thanks to my teachers they knew I had an problem...am 50 but still feeling I do not belong in this world...I love the Lord he has given me the light ❤

My son is 28 years old. We live in ky, and when he was in elementary school I knew he needed help. When I finally got the school board to test him they said he is boarder line so we can't help him. It wasn't until he got to high school that he actually got the help he needed!!

I believe the best movie ever saw with Kirk Douglas. He didnt act so intensely but realistically. Sensitive real life issue of today. Loved this movie about family and emotions. Loved the story. Beautifully executed. Wonderful happy ending.❤

Here is Kirk Douglas an group an I'd like you too guide them fishing today. So I got too fish with Michael an his dad Kirk an group catching rainbows an German brown trout! Very fun for all. We saw that chin of kirk smiling all day!

And was a good sales woman. We sold mobilehomes together. She was very bright.
