ABOUT 'THE ANTI TRANS HATE MACHINE: A PLOT AGAINST EQUALITY'
Amid a record-setting year of anti-transgender legislation, TransLash Media released Season 1 of The Anti-Trans Hate Machine: A Plot Against Equality in 2021. This award-winning multi-part program takes us behind the curtain of the dark money, right wing organizations, radical figures and extreme ideology driving the anti-trans backlash across the country. We expose a highly-organized political apparatus, which makes the future potentially darker for everyone.

Season 2 focuses on the disinformation ecosystem constructed by the Christian Nationalist movement, anti-trans lies are laundered through some of the biggest and most respected news rooms in the country, and how this effort creates a world where the existence of trans people is questioned. On this journey we center the voices of trans people, as well as their families, who are victimized by this hostile movement with our award-winning journalist Imara Jones guiding us along the way. Season 2, Part 1, with three episodes drops on March 31, 2023. Part 2, with final two episodes, drops on June 2, 2023.

BIO: Lee is a trans Jewish health liberation advocate with a focus on blending trans liberation and disability justice. After early attempts at collective organizing with trans and de/retrans people, s/he now researches anti-trans activism and conversion practices after witnessing its early escalations.

KS: you know, hearing about helping you, like, process your own stuff, like, also helps me. It's like I'm not trying to impose anything, just having like, like love and compassion for each other and just, like, listening to each other and, like, trying to, like. Take care of each other. And just like being like, whatever you need, like whoever you need to be, like, whatever you need to do to be happy and, like, be whole and be free. Like we just try to give give that to each other so we can, like, try to create a world where everyone can have that.
LL: Loving each other gives us that that space and the rejuvenation that we need to be able to spread that love to everybody else. Mm hmm.
