We're 46 days out from the election. We need a government that's in it for you, in it for your whānau, and in it for New Zealand. #nz #nzpolitics #nzpol

Hopkins tell me everything you know about CAS and that girl who fell off the wharf. Eye to eye, standing. No mud throwing while we sitting.

It is interesting that on the Labour sites, we can still leave our comments. National has turned all comments off. Luxon is a businessman and doesn’t understand what is involved in being a politician, let alone being PM. He refused to go on Maori TV and be questioned about how he would deal with ACT’s demand he hold a referendum to decide if the Treaty should remain our founding document. When you’re CEO, you can decline media scrutiny, but as PM you need to show transparency. We are in for a difficult ride until we can rid ourselves of this plonker.

Love the unity in creating two systems of delivery and making race a criterion for waitlist placement. I’m gonna get attacked for this, but the argument that this has caused, would you call that unity?

Also, New Zealanders want a government who will not recklessly spend taxpayer dollars on the most mundane of things, such as a $2.7 million koha to the Mongrel Mob or a $40000 farewell party, only to spend thousands on the subsequent welcoming party. We want a government who will not only look to solve the root of crime, but to also give consequences and keep New Zealanders safe. You cannot keep New Zealanders safe at the same time as letting murderers out on home detention. We want a country who will bring back structured literacy (targeted teaching exists for some) and defined curricula specific to the subject. You cannot tell me that a science curriculum doesn’t require the words chemistry, biology or physics, or that the principles of Te Tiriti should be part of the Year 4 maths curriculum. We want a government who will not allow Māori, Pasifika and rural people to gain a medical school place with a 60% exam average, when other ethnic minorities are expected to achieve at a 95% level (93% once offers are turned down). For this Prime Minister to say that we are not in a health crisis is absolutely ridiculous. Our doctors are not being paid enough and are flocking to Australia, and the government still spends millions on PR spin and excessive modellers and consultants. We want a government who sees what to do with a housing crisis and removes the ridiculous regulation that makes property require years to gain consent to build, like my piano teacher has experienced over the last five years. We want a government who stops cutting corners when it comes to building roads and take major action on the appalling state of our roads. We want a government who encourages legal migration who will contribute to our economy and does not reward illegal overstayers with handouts and citizenship. We want a government who thinks about their policy and realises that the GST cut off fruit and vegetables will not go to consumers, but to the companies and will aid the rich in buying their premium produce for cheaper prices. And about the foreign buyers tax. It will not generate the revenue they say it will, but I think enough wasteful spending can be cut to cover that. We want a government who gets people into work, rather than having record numbers on the Jobseeker benefit for over a year. And on the topic of climate change, we have some of the cleanest oil in the world. Why are we sending the exploration offshore and thus increasing carbon emissions? Also, why are we punishing farmers when they are supporting our economy? The country and the people come first. We want a government who will not impose a wealth tax, causing capital flight, brain drain and a destruction on live savings for some, or a capital gains tax once the minor parties put them in a corner. We want a government who will inflation-adjust our tax brackets and make it worthwhile for the working class to do overtime hours. We want a government who will put more police on the beat and will not make a hoohah about 1800 new desk workers in the police force. We want a government who will keep water entities at the local level and will not impose co-governance at a national level, as it should be at a local level where it will benefit Māori, as well as the community, the most.

Labour’s policy in every single sector has been an utter failure. We need a National-Act coalition to change this country and get us back on track.

To conclude. The money spent by government (not just Pharmac sole) for the mental illness drugs prescribed to me to be coercively persuaded into accepting a "lifestyle choice" similar to that of a person with a degenerative mind state (leading to years of "resting up") would have been better spent on life sustaining cancer treatment drugs, so that both those being provided them and I (not willing to become a human vegetable) could all spend less time in bed each week.
