I ❤ Joshua Tree. We visited two years ago and I had a profound experience. I made hubby stop the car and I jumped out because I was being 'pulled' to a certain spot. I walked out into the desert and stood there listening. After a couple of minutes, I realized I was back in the car, and hubby was asking me why I was just standing there for 40min 40min! In 94° heat. I lost time. I remember looking towards the hills and listening, and then I was back in the car. A couple weeks later I had the strangest dream I've ever had, and Joshua Tree was prominent in my dream. It keeps calling me.

Love Joshua Tree - it is like a different planet! Our climbing group spent Thanksgiving there a long time ago. We spent a couple of days rock-climbing and hiking. Fortunately, no accidents of any kind but just a wonderful experience!

We used to drive through it all the time heading to Lancaster, very strange place. I have a picture of me and three of my kids in front of a Joshua Tree (one in utero, lol) as a memory.

I love Joshua tree! There is a strong sense of something ancient and strong every time I have been to the park. Intimidating but not evil. A place to be revered. Always a sense of someone watching.

I lived in Barstow. I could just drive 2 miles and see the same thing. I am happy somebody stopped idiots from poaching the 🌵 cactus. Bless her. Some of those cacti are hundred years old! Leave the animals ALONE! Especially our sweet turtles. They don’t bother you! Damn humans!

ABOUT 4 YRS AGO I WENT TO 29 PALMS FIRST TIME AS A LA BABY (SOUTH LA) AND ITS CRAZY HOW MUCH LAND CALIFORNIA STRETCHES IT NEVER SEIZES TO AMAZE ME. WE GET INTO TOWN MY GF, HER COUSIN/HER CHILD, AND I. INSTANTLY MET WITH GOOD VIBES BUT IT WAS SOMETHING IN MY SPIRIT ABOUT THE LAND AS THE SUN WAS SETTING WE ARRIVED AROUND 5:30ISH, SO SUNDWN WAS AROUND 6:05 TYPE. REMIND YOU MY GFS COUSIN BOOKED AN AIR BNB OUT THERE AN SAID SHE GOT A DEAL. TO OUR SURPRISE GPS LED TO A DESERT ROAD OFF THE MAIN ROAD ROCKY THE CAR WE WERE IN WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THE DESERT TERRAIN. AS I CONTINUE UP THE ROAD YOU START TO SEE ANOTHER ROAD COMING UP TO THE RIGHT. THIS ROAD (MAN MADE) WAS ROCKIER AND AT THE VERY BEGINNG WAS MAILBOXES 3-4 MINS FURTHER DWN THT ROAD ARE HOMES. EACH HOME WAS SPREAD OUT A GREAT DISTANCE FROM EACH OTHER AND THE BACK YARD OF THESE HOMES WERE CANYON STYLE MOUNTAINS AND LAND THT JUST WENT ON AND ON TO THE MOUNTAINS. OUR HOME WAS THE 4TH HOME ON THAT ROAD. BY DARK YOU COULD NOT SEE NOR DID YOU WANT TO GO OUTSIDE FOR ANYTHING. 2 ROOM HOME N GUESS WHAT WAS IN THE ROOM MY GF AND i SLEPT IN?? A FROST GLASSED DOOR SMFH YOU TALKING ABOUT PARANOIA! IM A CITY KID AT THT I ENJOY GETTING OUT WHEN I DO BUT SOMETHINGS ARE JUST EHH. WOODEN FRONT DOOR WITH SCREEN BACK DOOR TO THE HOME ON THE OTHER SIDE FOM WHERE THE ROOMS WERE LED TO THE KITCHEN. SOMETHING OUT A FUCKING MOVIE. ONCE THE MORNING CAME THE SUNRISE WAS BEAUTIFUL BUT THT DARKNESS IN THT DESERT ITS SOMETHING IN THT VOID. IF YOU DONT HAVE GOD THT DESERT DARKNESS CAN MANIPULATE YOUR THINKING FOR SURE #MAYTHEFORCEBEWITHYOU
