Haven't done an animatic in forever but I just had to get this lil bit of brain rot out!

Everyone talks about Leo and Donnie being the ones with Insomnia, but I like to think Mikey might have a touch of the ol' sleepless nights too. On such nights he would go out and paint the town~
Mainly covering up all the anti-yokai propaganda being spread after the Kraang invasion, Silly dumb humans being misinformed once again.

Ohmigosh this is so cute! Mikey going around and fixing the signs because he can't stand to see his family, his brothers, classified the same way as the Kraang. His heart is too big!

I love this. Not only mike painting the town but him fixing one sign at a time. Then the twins just watching him getting reamed at the end for it with the popcorn.

In all honesty seeing Leo up there on the billboard made me laugh at first but also imagine realistically how he would feel seeing himself up on there with the Kraang after everything 🥲

I love that Mikey obviously woke up from a nightmare. I love the hints that he's still haunted by what happened. I love the whole beginning sequence, of him just quietly making his way to the surface to clear his head. It's nice to see Mikey more nuanced, like his trauma is taken seriously. I love how he copes, by painting the town, and covering up the reminders of what happened. It's like he's painting over his bad memories, and turning them into something good, one sign at a time.
