In this video we look at the follow through in pool and why it is a vital part of our cue action. We discuss how to ensure why follow through on every shot, and the fundamentals of our cue action that allow us to do this consistently.

This is part of a series of video I'll be making to cover the fundamentals of pool and key aspects for pool beginners.
The shots are carried out on a 7ft Supreme Winner UK 8 ball table

Such a good demonstration and explanation. After watching this clip I was able to re-introduce effective top spin into my game. Something which I had been struggling with very badly after a long time away from cue sports, and struggling badly to adapt to the light white in pool. But by gripping further back on the cue as suggested, and using a long back swing, the follow through now happens automatically and takes care of itself. Getting really effortless topspin now, and that shot has gone from a huge weakness to a strong capability in the space of a few practice shots. What an amazingly quick transformation that was!!

Excellent videos; especially this one - I`ve found the ideal warmup to eliminate my consistent ``stabbing`` at the start of pool matches ! / minutes of just concentrating on follow through and timing ;)

This is something I've never really put much thought into doing correctly. I suspect I probably follow through further the more power I'm hitting it with. I'll definitely be mindful of it next time I play. Very helpful video, thanks

Great video as always. I find staying down on the shot just as important as follow through. Helps balance and consistency and even if you play a bad shot you still look like you know what you're doing 🤣
