As our boys grow older, their needs will change in this smaller bedroom space. I renovated it a few years ago, but it was in need of a refresh as separate twin beds suited them better. Join me as I get creative and thrifty in this small space to make it as functional and enjoyable as possible for them!

I think only people without little boys would think a basket of snake skins and turtle shells is gross. These are quintessential boy. Seeing the decor, made me think, as they grow, a theme is no longer an option for Mama. They get their own style, their own vision, their decor, , action figures, treasures, books, sports and hobby items . And they want them on display. So enjoy it while you can. At some point boys will be boys... as they say. Two beds for $40.00... what a steal. They look gorgeous. But that under bed storage is amazing!!!! What a clever solution.

Not only do I have my son's "treasures"; I have inherited the "treasures" of my late cousin. We display them proudly. The room is precious. I love the colors and those beds are perfect.

The room looks terrific! The under bed storage is genius. So glad that each boy has a bed; I never feel that trundle beds give an "equal" vibe. While the beds look very glam with the layers of duvets and pillows, I can't imagine young boys creating that look when making their beds. So I would try to keep things simple and eliminate the layered bed look...even though I think the aesthetic is great.

Oh my, the final reveal is beautiful, but my boys would have thrown all the pillows and blankets on the floor every night. Practicality over Style may win out. Beautiful room Andrea.
