We had a horse (17hh thoroughbred cross bred for eventing) that used to jump out of fields. Everybody was amazed because he would always jump back in again. Turned out he just liked to jump.

My old Welsh mountain pony would somehow get out of his grazing area all the time. I started watching him; he would crouch down and carefully step between the two strands of electric fence and squeeze through to the other side! Cheeky clever pony!

Years ago, my first pony kept escaping and we couldn’t understand how, until we turned him out in the snow and followed his tracks: he’d been sliding under the fence on his belly! Bless him 🥰😂😆
