Labour reveals private sector push to clear NHS backlog

The Prime Minister has laid out his plan to tackle NHS backlogs, on the same day the Royal Liverpool Hospital revealed that the longest wait for a bed in its A&E was 91 hours.

Sir Keir Starmer says more patients will be sent for treatment in the private sector, and care will be shif
ted away from hospitals and into the community.

But he also stressed that the NHS needs reform from top to bottom and cannot become a national money pit.

So are Labour’s plans likely to work?

Slash this, smash that. The only thing Labour are good at is making this sh*t up and then denying it.

These people really don't fully understand that the NHS does not have enough staff to fulfil all these promises.
I work in the NHS and staff shortages are dire.

It takes 3 years to train a nurse or midwife.
And even longer to train a doctor.

Nursing and Midwifery courses were once free to train, but the applicants have fallen off massively because of the financial strain of joining the course and having to take out massive student loans in order to finish the it.
The drop out rate is high.

Even if the government were to train many more staff, the plans won't happen within their time frame for at least another 3 - 4 years.

Many NHS professionals choose to work abroad where they can earn higher salaries with less stress.

This plan makes it sound like it was the only choice, ultimately one step closer to dismantling the NHS for private takeover.

So More privatisation of the NHS essentially, the people are slowly losing the NHS, while health becomes more Americanised.

The easiest way to solve the crisis in the NHS would be for the twenty million migrants living in great Britain to pay for their treatment just like a British citizen would have to do in any other country in the world

THERE IS NO PRIVATE CAPACITY YOU ARE LITERALLY PAYING THE SAME PEOPLE TO DO THE SAME THING ONLY MORE EXPENSIVE AND IN A WAY THAT LETS THE PRIVATE SECTOR CHERRYPICK THE EASY WORK WHEN WILL LABOUR LEARN THIS!!!

When are they going to sort out the huge absence of NHS dentists?

Private means they have to make a profit… look at the canal that collapsed it didn’t get the maintenance required because it’s privately owned and cost “too much” to fix.
Also look at the dams in America. Several are on the verge of collapse because the private companies that own them won’t spend the money on them.

BE VERY CAREFUL IF THE NHS SENDS YOU TO A PRIVATE HOSPITAL.

THEY WILL CLASS YOU AS A PRIVATE PATIENT AND DE-PRIORITISE YOU.

Think they wouldn't? They did it to me TWICE.
