Isaiah Bostic is the mastermind behind Batter on Deck, a food cart he started in Portland, OR devoted to his favorite food: corn dogs. Batter on Deck takes food served on a stick to new heights with creative concoctions like steak and cheese tornado potatoes, extra spicy Hot Cheeto corn dogs, and much more.

Isaiah has since moved his business to 8218 SE Holgate Blvd in Portland.

Love these type of stories. Man had a drive to better himself and did it! I'm planning a trip to Oregon summer of next year, definitely going to pay his truck a visit

Proud of you man. I know how hard it is to really jump off a food business. Ten years in now myself but most quit in the first 2 years because they didn't anticipate the difficulties so I know you really persevered through something. CONGRATULATIONS BRO. Stay unique, delicious, and polite. YOU WON.

Now this is a man. Not judged by his past, but by the person he's built himself to be despite his flaws.

Love to see this content from Portland. My city has seen a lot in the last couple years since becoming a political battleground and the pandemic. Support Portland’s small businesses!

I live in Tacoma, but now I wish I lived in Portland. Also, it always makes me so happy to see someone turn their life around. It’s never too late. Kinda wanna give him a huge hug. I wish him continued success.

Sent this video to some of my chef friends and some temp chefs, their response was the same as mine. We need that

I'll have to check it out next time I'm in Portland, looks dope. Makes me happy seeing anybody turn their life around and be able to start a business after being in jail. Very few people can get back on their feet after being imprisoned, much less start a business. Mad respect.
