At the end of Jean's quest when they throw her a surprise party even though Kaeya was the one who organised it he was sitting in the corner, away from everyone else. I feel like he acts friendly and chill towards everyone but doesn't actually think that he has any true friends. This is seriously so sad how he has to wear a mask of happiness 24/7 when he is literally depressed inside. Kaeya needs a warm hug, a therapist and an apology from diluc.

Kaeya looks so incredibly exhausted... You captured really well the way Kaeya acts and honestly should feel after all he's been through. He is a people-pleaser and never shows any signs of sadness nor anger during the game, which after learning about his past (specially with Diluc), feels so off... It's almost like he's happy 24/7 and is friends with everyone.
The fact he's Mondstadt's Cavalry Captain also doesn't help, since he has to keep an image to the people of Mondstadt and also probably has to keep people calm if there are enemies too close to Mondstadt while dealing with a lot of problems and also his own personal businesses. Drinking is probably a way he finds to finally relax after so much stress during his day and helps him forget about his problems, so it's a way for him to cope with all the bad things that happened...

I'm so glad that more and more people are catching up with just how morbid Keaya's reality is.
He's such an interesting chracter, and I hope we'll see more of him in the future (Next Windblume festival parhaps?)
