Trudeau announces ban on assault-style weapons: 'Canadians deserve more than thoughts'

PM Justin Trudeau has announced a ban, effective immediately, on 1,500 assault-style weapons and says current owners will be given a two-year amnesty period before being held criminally liable.

Pretty sure an AR15 requires an RPAL (Restricted Possession and Acquisition License), are only allowed on the range and you need an ATT transport permit to move it. There is no hunting deer with AR's in Canada..

The guns are already Pinned at 5 rounds and only semi auto in Canada. It's like banning sports cars because of crashes, despite the fact that they already have speed governors.
