Fun fact: Dabney Coleman was the original choice to play Cliff Vandercave, but was unavailable, also William Shatner, Tim Curry, Christopher Lloyd, Tommy Lee Jones and Joe Pesci were also considered for the role. Sharon Stone was the original choice to play Sharon Stone but was unavailable, Paula Abdul was the second choice for the role but wasn't cast because of the height difference between her and Kyle MacLachlan, Nicole Kidman was the third choice but turned it down and last Brooke Shields was also considered but the production crew couldn't picture her as a sexy villainous secretary.
