The city can end this real quick. Impound these cars with a $10, 000 fee everytime it happens.

No duh. Just yesterday a Cruise car just sat in middle of the road on Fulton St. when an ambulance was trying to get thru. It just sat dumb and unresponsive.

FAIL! There is not contact info on the car itself? People at the Cruise offices should have had process down how what if a car is reported stalled or worst.

Who didn't see this coming? Imagine if this happens on a major interstate.

Nice that the city is a test track for these driver-less car companies. Probably didn't take much in the way of the usual bribes and kickbacks either.

The self driving car was the least odd thing about that video.

😡🤬 stupidity will cause accidents and putting people's life at risk

Typical! Put a darn phone number on a car door so Cruise can dispatch a tow vehicle or better yet remote drive the vehicle to a parking space. Too much drama here.

All automated vehicles should pull over to a parking space or curb and put flashers on. Otherwise no regulation passes and the car doesn’t get on the road.

Imagine having nothing better to do than stare a stuck robot car for hours😂

Here is what needs to be done. Outfit some city dump tracks with industrial claw machines. Everytime this happens sent a truck out to pick up the car, crunch it up real small, dump it in the truck and hall the garbage to the junkyard. Then sent Cruise a bill for the disposal fee.

This is too funny. First there was one that wouldn’t listen to the police and now there’s one that just won’t move. Yay for autonomy.

Are there any normal people in San Francisco anymore?

Don't worry AI is NOT taking over humans or our jobs. This is a prime example 😂

The car stopped in the middle of the street because the driver bought too much meat and exceeded his green CO2 limit for the month and is being punished by the AI overlords. Allegedly

This is a case of corporate greed at the public expense. There has already been a case were one of these type of vehicles purposely killing a human being, and there has been the scary things that A. I. have been telling their operators what they want to do to humans.
Until the tech is improved ( a lot), the auto-driving vehicles out on any public road should be put on hold.
There are to many variables that can go wrong with the auto-driving vehicles, and there should be at least a 10 year hold before they are allowed to out on any public road in the US. And during that time, there should be a minimum of one year operational testing with the vehicles running 24 /7 for the entire time. And with them wanting to put the same tech in semi's running on the highways it's not worth the risk to the American people, especially since it is a known fact that corporations can and will lie, cover up, and anything else in the name of profits regardless of how many people could be hurt or killed by these type of vehicles. Also there should be a law passed that if a auto-driving vehicle causes the death or serious injury the corporations that have made the vehicles are held criminally responsible with the minimum sentence of 10years in prison, the entire board of said corporation, and then let's see how much enthusiasm there is to put these vehicles on public streets.
Also instead of completely automated vehicles, use remote control vehicles. Having a testing and training, and licensing of people who are the driver's of the vehicles from a central command post, but are being operated by someone.
I think that after a few years of operation, and testing it would be useful for any future use of the automation software for the using of such vehicles. And as a closing thought, think about what could go wrong with a self-driving vehicle, traveling down the Hwy at 90 mph, and weighing 40, 000 lbs, and look at how much kinetic energy that could be fast approaching your vehicle as you are going down the same Hwy, think about it.
Pleasent dreams.

How to regulate the autonomous vehicles will wholly depend on the size of the political contributions to those making the regulations.
