Science Matters EP11: The Holiday edition

Показать описание
To celebrate the holidays, I ponder the conjunction between Jupiter and Saturn that will be visible on Dec 21, and how that relates to claims of a Star of Bethlehem, and then display recent results showing the real motion of stars in the night sky, and finally describe the exciting Japanese satellite that returned a time capsule from the beginning of the solar system 4.55 billion years ago. We can celebrate how lucky to be in our amazing Universe at the same time as we celebrate each other. Happy Holidays!

Man what I'd give to have Science Matters as a weekly thing...

Thanks for everything once again Mr Krauss. A Universe From Nothing was a life changer for me in a drastic way. I've also began reading Feynman because of you and along with Carl Sagan and Richard Dawkins, you Fantastic 4 are my true heroes.

All the best, cant wait for the new book!

Thank you, Mr Krauss. I’ve been fascinated with The Cosmos since I took Astronomy in high school 42 years ago. We had a planetarium and a very enthusiastic instructor. At that time we thought Cygnus X1 “might” be a black hole, and hadn’t any idea what Quasars were. Cheers!
