1.) Gear is crazy cheap
2.) Education is abundant/ free (YouTube)
3.) Now you can be a full time artist by yourself, no record label (me lol)
4.) flip side of 3, you have a global community to help you. (Need strings, guitar, piano, etc you can do that in the internet)

Extra tips he gave:
•You have every tool at your finger tips
•Keep going
•happy thanks giving

I re watched your making a song from scratch and mastering a song from scratch, and I have to say that you have re inspired me to get back in the studio. I was losing inspiration and you really helped me get back into my groove.

I'm so thankful I was one of the lucky winners of the Lifetime access package! Graham, you're the best, and I'm binging your courses as much as possible! It couldn't have come at a better time either. I was considering going to college for 2 years (provided free of charge in Tennessee to undergrads) but was almost stressed out about finding the time. Then I get an email from Graham's team that basically sends the free schooling to me via Lifetime access to Recording Revolution VIP and all the audio courses! Literally an answer to prayer in so many ways and Graham was the vessel!

I'm an old timer who recorded on a Wallensack reel to reel; It had big knobs, so I worked it with my feet while I played. I went to school to learn digital 12 years ago. I've just recently gotten a new protools/mac combo. Things still work the same, mostly. But, your videos have been a great help in bringing me up to speed. Thank you, sir.

As a veteran myself, having proper room acoustic is very important. It's so crucial as your microphone and studio monitors are designed to be used in an acoustically treated environment to get the best use out of them. You need to be able hear what's coming of your speakers without all the artifacts when mixing and recording. Comb filtering can ruin many recordings which you can't take out of a recording.

I started playing and recording after a 30 year break. Everything you mentioned is true. Thanks for all of the information and help transitioning from an analog to a digital dinosaur.

Thanks for the encouraging words. I started with no direction awhile back and got frustrated which lead me to quit for about a month. After some time I thought about it from a different perspective and actually wrote down a plan for myself to build a solid foundation. I've made great progress in learning and using certain skills that are the fundamentals for music production. I will definitely keep pushing myself to learn and to APPLY these skills. Everyone else keep going too!!

Great advice. It's even preferred if you have a concept of your song ready before going to the studio. It saves you and engineer stress, cause the vision for the song and arrangement is crystallising from something that is good already rather than building everything from scratch on the spot in 2 hours.
You'll save money, time and your nerves if you'll listen to the advice we are given in this video.
More over all of the problems with song composition, performance (diction, wrong lyrics, wrong harmonies, phrasing etc, ) come out when you trying to record. So it's better if they will come out in the bedroom rather than in studio where you are limited by time, and getting stressed in front of engineers.

To the author: Thank you for this valuable video, I'm feeling motivated again and I'm getting back to recording stuff in the backseat of my car again ❤️
